This is a humorous take on the fairy tale using modern technology:

Looks like the newest version of PowerPoint will have some Vista-ish transitions and allow for more multimedia support. Very cool demo, but I hope Microsoft is not baiting and switching on this like they did with Vista. They showed us all kinds of cool stuff in the commercials, but failed to tell you that you had to buy the Ultimate Edition to get it.
Hat tip to Ellen Finkelstein.

As you all begin preparing for your final team presentations next week, I thought this slide show might be helpful to you. There are probably 10,000 people on the internet with their own ideas of how to put together a PowerPoint presentation, but this is one of the few I have found that integrates the delivery and communication aspects of the presentation equally with the technological aspects.

I took a few moments over the weekend to review the textbook’s online resources made available by the publisher. Unfortunately, if you go to the web site listed on the back of your Exploring Excel 2003 textbook, you get an updated version written for the Office 2007 version.
However, there is a link off of that page to the previous Exploring Office 2003 web site. You will find a link to the Student Resources page, which I believe gives you a .ZIP file of all the Excel spreadsheets that are on the CD-ROM that came with your textbook. There are also some PowerPoint presentations on that page, which I won’t be using in class, but might be of some help to you.
Then again, if that’s not enough, there’s always the official Microsoft web site.
